How It Works

Here’s how it works:

  1. Advertisers create unique text codes called Snippets for their products/services (e.g. a company like Apple might reserve the word “IPOD”)
  2. They publish the Snippet in every ad for their item – on TV, in a paper, a magazine, billboard – wherever
  3. When you come across an item you are interested in, simply text the Snippet to S-N-I-P-P (7-6-4-7-7)
  4. The next time you check your email, you will find an email from us giving you all the details about the item you just snipped with additional stuff such as discount coupons, purchase links etc.
  5. All your Snipps are also available on your personalized page at www.snipp.com, neatly categorized and organized for your benefit

Snipp is so simple and so flexible: you can Snipp almost anything.

Catalogs

events
That J.Crew catalog you get in the mail? Snipp the items you are interested in, we’ll send you an email with a link that takes you straight to the checkout section of the J.Crew website. No need to sit around in front of your computer to shop, or to call tiresome 1-800 numbers and wait in queue for hours.

Events

events
TimeOut magazine events that you want to attend? Snipp the ones in question, and we’ll send you an email with links to where you can buy the tickets. We can even add the event to your calendar.

Classifieds

classified
Those tiny classified ads in the newspaper? Snipp them, and we’ll send you back more information about the classified – with pictures.

Billboards

billboard
Snipps can be used in the physical world just as easily as on the pages of a print publication. Driving by a billboard that you’re interested in? Snipp it and you’ll get an email back with all the details that you couldn’t take down while you were zooming past on the freeway.

Restaurants

restaurant
See a restaurant you like while walking down the street? Snipp it, and all the details, the location and a discount coupon will be waiting for you in your “Restaurants” section of your Snipp.com page.

Radio

radio
Hear a song on the radio but don’t know the name? Snipp it, and we’ll SMS you back the name of the song and send you an email with links to where you can purchase it (and yes, it will be waiting for you in the “Music” section on your Snipp.com page).
